Building a society without violence
'Stop the abuse of women and children in society'.
Women are seen as pillars in society as they possess the ability to adapt to an array of situations and thus need to be taken care of and protected from any and all forms of violence.
To give volume to this very important message, thousands of women from all over the country gathered last week in Pretoria for #TheTotalShutDown where they voiced their disapproval and disgust over violence on women and children.
Echoing the same sentiment last week Wednesday was Jabulani Police Station CPF and police members who actively went on the ground to spread their message with residents in the community.
The message was simple and clear, – ‘Stop the abuse of women and children in society‘.
The campaign started in Moloetsane where the police team along with residents engaged the community, speaking on issues concerning violence in the immediate community and then went on to consult with the community of Jabulani, ending off their campaign at Jabulani Mall.
