WATCH: The unstoppable mathematics train

Obstacles will come on your way to success, just stay strong, be positive and be unstoppable.

Sizanani Primary School in Dube is at it again bigger than we have anticipated and yet blowing our minds with his learners. Thapelo Morolong, Boikanyo Ramela, Thabo Sithole and Lesedi Masilo came top in the Astro quiz competition in District level that was held at St lves on the May 26.

Indeed these learners are blowing our minds because they also participated in the Science Olympiad that took place on May 23 and managed to qualify for the round two that will take place in August.

The mathematics and science warrior Mbongeni Simelane said, “As a young Math’s and Science educator I always believe that unearthing and nurturing dreams, skills and talents should be promoted at a very young age and I always preach good marks, consistency, and hard work.

“My learners know what they want and quite driven to achieving those goals no matter the obstacles they come across. I always encourage them that they shouldn’t see their background as a disadvantage instead of a blessing in disguise that drives them to achieve the goals they want to achieve.

He mentioned that the support they get from parents, teachers, and community at large is great and that this type of learners Melane Academy in association with Sizanani Primary School discovers and develops even further.

“I will always reward my learners for the excellence and hard work they show throughout plus being a teacher who understands both science and mathematical cognition in learners helps in obtaining great results.

“My advice to other teachers and learners, don’t give up on your dreams, don’t allow anything or anyone to take your dreams away from you. Obstacles will come on your way to success, just stay strong, be positive and be unstoppable,” said Simelane.
