CPF tolerates no crime

Diepkloof Community Policing Forum.

The Diepkloof Community Policing Forum (CPF) will be looking uniform this festive season with a zero-tolerance attitude towards crime.

The CPF will embark on a festive season project at the Bara Taxi Rank and Diepkloof Square to make sure that crime does not get out of hand.

Zenzile Tshabalala of the CPF explained that she and her team will be all over the streets curbing crime and it is advisable that residents, particularly the youth, not be caught doing bad stuff for which they will be held accountable.

Tshabalala has also warned the community about crime trends like the old taxi with four men who trick people at the ATMs.

The drill team from the Diepkloof CPF has been at work all year to ensure that the streets are safer.

Mohapi Morake said, “I wish the youth would practice more responsibility and not harm others while having fun.”

Lerato Motshoeneng is part of the CPF team and described the difficulties they encounter in the streets.

“All our hard work is worthwhile when we see the crime rate go down. If you have a drug abuse problem or know someone does, free treatment for drug addiction is available at public hospitals.”

Zenzile Tshabalala said, “We are always doing our best to decrease the use of substance and crime and we do our best to make the people aware of the scourge.”
