Iron Lady scoops a trophy for her gorgeous body

“I'm very happy considering the fact that it was my first time entering beach bikini, I'm used to bodybuilding,” said Phephe.

She is a bodybuilding mama who has endured ridicule from most in her community, but that did not deter her in her quest to become a bodybuilder. Ali ‘Iron Lady’ Phephe from Pimville has proved once again that nothing can stand in her way.

The 50-year-old bodybuilder has been working out for 21 years and taking care of her body. Iron Lady scooped yet another trophy in Roodepoort, Mogale City when she came second in the Miss Bikini category of the Jayden Jozi Classic bodybuilding annual competition. At her age, she still looks stunning in her bikini.

“I’m very happy considering the fact that it was my first time entering beach bikini, I’m used to bodybuilding,” said Phephe.

Phephe said she is used to being criticised for being who she is.

“I’m used to being taunted and I don’t have a problem with that because I’m doing what I love the most. People will always talk whether you are doing bad or good as long as my family supports me I am happy,” she said.

“However, people are not the same, there are those who like and support me and I appreciate it. There are those who keep motivating and encouraging me even when they have never seen me in action,” she added.

Seeing her in her bikinis is hard to believe that she is 50.

“A 50-year-old on stage wearing a bikini, unbelievable right? but I want my sisters out there especially of my age and those in sports to know that there is nothing wrong with us, let’s show the young ones and encourage them to look after themselves, instead of abusing drugs and alcohol and getting ‘blessers’, they must enjoy their youth to the fullest,” she concluded.

Phephe said that she wants to be an example especially to those who think after 35 years a person should look old.
