Meet a group of women who understand your pain

Comfort for grieving families.

If you reside in Diepkloof then seeing women dressed in the red uniform is a familiar sight, the praying ladies from The Methodist Church of Southern Africa (TMCOSA) in Zone 2 meet and go out to comfort families that have lost a loved one.

Every Tuesday, while most people are busy with their lives, the ladies like Boniswa Mafate meet and gather outside Bareng Taxi Rank to go wherever their words of faith and encouragement are needed.

Not only do the ladies from (TMCOSA) meet on Tuesdays to take comfort to the hurting and to use the powerful word of God and prayer to lift up the lowly, but they also meet every Monday to visit and to pray for the sick.

Mafate said, “We are women of prayer and we believe in the everlasting and ever-loving God of all humanity, and because when someone dies, it seems like a tragic mistake to the people, while it really is like returning home to everlasting life.”

Stella Qithi explained that as women of prayer is stands as their duty to their faith to remind people as a whole that God is all powerful.

Nompumelelo Moloko from the church joined the praying group and elaborated how their word of comfort for the grieving family and even families would be taken from the Biblical scripture from the book of John 16: 28 where it is written, “I came out from the Father, and have come to the world: again, I leave the world and go to the Father.”
