Training opportunity for graduates in the field of photography & videography

The City of Johannesburg wishes to extend a practical/experiential training opportunity to graduates in the field of Photography, Videography or a related field typically suited to a career in the Audio Visual/Visual fields.

The following internships are offered for a fixed eighteen (18) month period at the Metro Centre in Braamfontein:

Two (2) internships:

  • Audio-visual Internship (1); and
    Photography Internship (1)




During this period the intern must attend or participate in training activities for 8 hours per day, Monday to Friday, consistent with the normal operational hours of the department or such training hours as are required or scheduled for the purpose of the training of the person.

The City shall pay the intern a non-remunerative allowance/stipend for each month of training actually completed.

Requirements:

  • You must have a relevant qualification in photography and/or videography, or a related field typically suited to a career as an audiovisual practitioner and/or a photographer.
  • Computer literacy – need to know how to use computer software programs and applications to prepare, edit and images.
  • Candidates applying for the internship must be creative, confident and be skilled in photography and/or videography. A portfolio/list of your most recent work/assignments must be included in your application.
