Councillor for Ward 28, Peter Ndou expressed his hate for crime and corruption and likened the killings of women, femicide, to the killings of the flowers of the revolution at the Diepkloof Community Policing Alarms Handover that took place in Diepkloof Police Station.
Thuli Mthethwa, the founder of the Memeza Alarm went to the police station where the elderly people went to see and receive the Memeza Alarms while others, like Tabitha Yende and Nkukeng Legodi, went to testify of the alarms’ impact in fighting crime.
Yende said, “Ever since I’ve started using the alarm, I haven’t been worrying much about crime and invasion, the Memeza alarm elevates safety and has a fast response from the neighbours, the community the CPF and the Police.”

Memeza’s Community Liaison and Partnerships Manager, Thami Molefe said, “Community safety is very important because without community safety there’d be a lot of lawlessness which will lead to the deteriorating of our societies and nation ultimately.”
Molefe added how their partnership with South African Breweries (SAB) responsibility even though they are a liquor trading company.
Kgosi Mogosi of SAB said, “We wanted to take part in decreasing crime in our nation and as a liquor trading brand we are very happy to help in combating crime.”
Peter Ndou, the Ward 28 councillor sent his revolutionary greetings to everyone and said, “We are meeting to curb crime in our communities and I commend the CPF, the SAB, and Memeza for their efforts.”
Ndou continued to say that police must set an example and asked them to pull up their socks in fighting crime.
Mogosi demonstrated how the alarm works and guaranteed that the other areas that have adopted the Memeza Alarm have drastically decreased their crime rates.
