Local musos find their happy ending

"We are proud to be a part of this community" - Melodic Messengers

Melodic Messengers is a band that was formed three years ago. Their story is one of four brothers who decided to join forces to form a band that would create a fresh new sound in the music industry.

The brothers were born into a musically talented family and it was destined for them to start creating their own. The skilled band members grew up in Eldorado Park Extension Three and band members, David ‘Fari’ Zacheusis an acoustic guitar player, Nehemiah ‘Nemo’ Zacheus, an accomplished drummer with Abraham ‘Maestro’ Zacheus on keys and bass and Koketso ‘Koko’ Mothlamme on electric guitar.

The band has worked with and shared the stage with many big names South African acts like Ifani, TkZee, Stogie T, Reason, Zahara, Lloyd Cele, Khuli Chana, DannyK, Loyiso, Sho Madjozi, Rubberduc, LeAnne Dlamini, Nothende, Mi Casa, Aka, Dr Victor and Da Les.



They have also had the honour of sharing a stage with international Grammy award-winning singing sensation, Syleena Johnson.

Individually, the brothers have travelled locally and internationally. Nemo had the opportunity of visiting Los Angeles with South African hip hop slash rap artist, Ifani and Coco and has travelled to France with South African rapper, Stogie T.

The band has played at the Hard Rock Café in Johannesburg, the Neighbour Goods Market, the Orbit and Mathombe Lounge in Newtown.



In February this year, they were live on YFM’s Live and Rewired show. Their first single, titled ‘Beginning of a happy ending’ was released June 1.

“As we look back on our musical journey, having released this single is definitely the beginning of a happy ending for us. We can only grow from here and we hope to keep making music for as long as we can,” said Fari.

The band believes that their music will definitely take them around the world. They hope to inspire the youth to find their passion and to work hard and stay focused.

“We want to start by growing and being known by our community. We are proud to be a part of this community,” said Fari.
