Naledi SAPS celebrates women in the community

Celebrating the spirit of unity.

The Naledi Police Station Women’s Network together with Men for Change celebrated mothers in the community at the station last Thursday.

The event is in line with the calendar of events that the Women’s Network have planned for the financial year.

With Mrs Dlamlenze from Jozi FM as a guest of honour, she delivered a blissful sermon and encouraged the ladies to always believe in themselves.

The Naledi SAPS women were also informed about the importance of Mother’s in the working environment, at home and in the country at large.

Adding more context to the event, the ladies were educated about who and officially established the first Mother’s Day holiday and why with the speech delivered by Captain Mdlalose and she elaborated how important it is to keep that spirit of unity alive in our times.

The programme was driven by Naledi SAPS Women’s network champion Elisa Mhlongo.

One idea that seemed to come across from most speakers was the importance of women not looking down on each other but rather to uplift each other in any way possible.

The event ended off with gifts that were handed out to mothers as a token of the spirit of unity that had been preached in the event.
