#Drugbust in Zondi

A joint operation between Johannesburg Metro Police Department K9 Unit, Johannesburg Flying Squad, Gauteng Community Safety, Prasa Business Intelligence Unit conducted an operation which led them to a drug bust in Zondi last Thursday.
According to Dobsonville police spokesperson constable Mzwakhe Xazi, three male suspects between the ages of 27-62-years-old were allegedly contravened drug trafficking acts.

“The SAPS crime intelligence unit followed a lead about the drug manufacturing drug house in Zondi. On May 10, at 10 am, police busted on unsuspecting criminals in their house in Zondi,” said Xazi.
He said the undisclosed number of drugs were found in possession of the suspects. Constable Xazi said police officers confiscated the drugs and a white Jetta vehicle which was used by the suspects for their operation.”
“The suspects already appeared before the Protea Magistrate Court and their case has been deferred for further investigations,” said Xazi.
He congratulated the residents to continue to give police tip-off in their endeavour to fight crime in the township. Xazi said people with information regarding this crime should contact police on 10111.
