Flavour Yase Kasi tournament hopes to grab gold from diski lovers
South African legends will be representing the different regions in the tournament
Soweto Gold, superior golden lager, the only beer born and brewed ekasi, celebrates the true spirit of brotherhood ekasi through soccer. As a way of giving back to the community, the brand will host a tournament, called Flavour Yase Kasi, which will be played in five townships: Soweto, Vaal, Alexandra, Mamelodi and Katlehong.
Chosen not only for their impressive careers, but also for their commitment to nurturing and guiding their younger up-and-coming brothers, local soccer legends for each region will be on hand to assist the teams in showing off their best kasi skills.
Participating legends are, Jerry Skosana (Tembisa)., Daniel Mudau (Mamelodi), Jabulani Mendu (Katlehong), Lucky Lekgwathi (Ga-Rankuwa), Aaron Mokoena (Vaal) and Shakes Gwabeni (Soweto) Doctor Khumalo, the brand ambassador, will be actively involved in the tournament.
“We have decided to partner with these legends because these are people who have made names for themselves with many teams and are well respected. As a small brand, working with all these legends will help us achieve a lot of visibility.Not only that, we also hope that people in the township will support us,” said Soweto Gold founder, Ndumiso Madlala.
Participants must be 18 years old and above.
