Does your child need extra lessons in maths & accounting?

The pillar of the community.

Intsika Maths Academy is a Saturday school that offers mathematics from Grades 8 to 11. It recently added accounting for Grade 11 due to popular demand.

The academy caters for both learners who pay as well as those cannot afford to pay fees. The academy is based in Eldorado Park Extension Seven, behind the old Kliptown Post Office.

Instika Maths Academy chief executive officer, Ntsika Gcobo said “We are happy to be able to offer subjects for the Grade 11 group as they are preparing themselves for their final high school stage, matric [next year 2019].

“The addition of subjects created more job opportunities for teachers as well.”

The academy hires qualified and experienced teachers. They have assistant teachers to assist learners individually and the classes are limited to 20 learners per class which allow for one-on-one interaction with the students.

“We prefer to keep our classes small, that way we can keep an eye on each learner. We keep track of learners’ progress by contacting their school teachers and we encourage parents to get involved with helping monitor their progress.

“Regular communication between school teachers and parents is very important,” said Bongumusa Mbidlana from the academy.

The academy is in the process of giving away four bursaries to deserving pupils.

“Our goal is to partner with schools in and around Eldorado Park. We don’t want to limit ourselves by only giving away four bursaries, we’d like to give away 10 at a time,” added Gcobo.

The academy goes the extra mile in ensuring that learners improve and understand the content. Should your child need extra mathematics and accounting lessons, contact Intsika Maths Academy.
