No processed foods here!

The public is deeply sceptical about consuming processed foods e.g. polony, russians and etc.

Story:

Staying relevant in the community you live and operate in, is a priority for Kuthokozele Fast Food which held a promotion in Diepkloof just to remind the people of the product they are dealing with.

Kuthokozele’s young owner, Sphamandla Mhlongo, had to be creative after the Listeria outbreak that shocked the country early this year. As a result, he had to change his menu like so many other food outlets in Soweto, to protect the health of his customers.

The other reason for the promotion was to give patrons feedback about the fast food outlet’s decision to stop serving processed food.

Mhlongo who has extensive experience in the hospitality and catering field said, “This event was just the promotion for the company and the services we offer which are specially tailored for the locals. We wanted to make our products more visible to the community.”

The event helped further promote other local DJs and artists like the K-twins made up of Mpho Sikhakhane and Nduduzo Sithole.

One customer who went to the promotion to show support was Thabiso Hlongwane, who could not stop raving about the unique food he enjoys at the shop.

Hlongwane said, “The food here is plain awesome, the founder came up with a unique set of menus which are still delicious.”

The promotion went well over midnight while people like Nelson Ngwenya kept on stopping by for dinner. Ngwenya did not have many words to say about the revamped Kuthokozele menu, but many agreed that the food was really exciting.
