VIDEO: You know how expensive an optometrist can get right?
A group of elders gathered at the Eldorado Park Service Centre to have their eyes tested.
Well, fortunately for the senior citizens in Eldorado Park, they were lucky enough to have been part of this outreach programme done by Dudley Filippa and Jonathan Brand [optometrist].
These citizens got an opportunity that comes very seldom and now have a chance to get quality glasses for a price that’ll blow your mind.
The outreach programme took place at the Eldorado Park Service Centre and Meals on Wheels in Eldorado Park, Extension Four, Mapelaberg.
Dudley Filippa said, “We’re doing an outreach programme particularly for senior citizens regarding their eyesight as well as their optical needs. It is an outreach set out particularly for those who cannot afford to go to an optometrist.
“The supplier is actually a wholesaler who would like to reach out to the less fortunate and for those who really need the glasses and cannot afford it.
“We do on-sight eye testing by a registered optometrist who has been practising for 37 years.”
