Many people dream of being famous one day. Some people make it and some people don’t. For a lot of the people in the community, it is enough fame for them, if they have made it into the newspaper.
This was a dream and a birthday wish of Claudia Pietersen. Her friends and family loved her so much that made her birthday wish come true. Not many people have the opportunity to make their dreams a reality, but for Ouma Dulcie, that was not the case.
Pietersen said, “I am Ouma Dulcie and I am 90-years-old today (March 1). I am so grateful and thankful that I have made it. It was a long journey, but thank you that I have made the journey.

“I always wanted to be in the paper and I’m so excited I don’t even know what to say because I have made to the year that I wanted.”
She added, “I’m so happy and I thank the Lord that he was with me all the way. He was with me through the fire, the river, and the storm. I am living on His promises where He said that He will never leave me nor forsake me. I thank the Lord that he was with me and that he has kept me until this day.”
