Catching Feelings is in cinemas now

Local comedian Kagiso Lediga's first film as a writer and director is available in cinemas now.

Catching Feelings is a film written and directed by Kagiso Lediga. Set in a chic and middle-class Johannesburg – it is a tale of how life, love and art intersect in uncontrollable ways.

Catching Feelings follows a jaded academic and his journalist wife, who have their lives turned upside down when a celebrated and hedonistic older writer unexpectedly moves into their urban Johannesburg home with them.

Max Matshane (Kagiso Lediga), is a 34-year-old author who wrote a South African bestseller in his 20’s, but whose star has waned and now finds himself as a disgruntled professor, teaching creative writing at the local university.

Max lives in a leafy Johannesburg suburb with his exceptionally beautiful wife, Samkelo (Pearl Thusi), whose career is on the rise as a reputable journalist. Despite their love for each other, their relationship has hit a rut.
