Siphiwe Stuurman-Mkhwanazi has gone missing

Please help find this man.

The end of the school year represents a time of joy for many children and their families as it marks the end of one school adventure and the beginning of another.

The family of a 19-year-old man from Protea Glen were, however, looking for something to smile about this past festive season as he has been missing since December 6.

Siphiwe Stuurman-Mkhwanazi was last seen at Trinity School in Lenasia on the last day of the official school year in 2017 when he went to fetch his final report. He was last seen wearing maroon pants, a grey t-shirt and black sneakers.

is rumoured that he has been seen around the Mapetla and Naledi extension two areas according to Stuurman-Mkhwanazi’s guardian and grandfather, Michael Mkhwanazi.

“We are afraid because we don’t know what kind of people he is with and we’re not sure if he will come back or not. We are in the dark, we do not know what led to this kind of behaviour from him,” said Mr Mkhwanazi.

Stuurman-Mkhwanazi’s father passed away in 2015 and his mother has since left him under his grandparents’ guardianship.

“I need him to explain to us why he left his home. We expected him to complete his matric and live a normal life like all our other children,” Mr Mkhwanazi continued.

His grandfather appeals to him to come home. “I appeal to him to come home, he is our blood,” he said.

Anyone with information regarding his whereabouts is urged to contact Michael Mkhwanazi on 073 890 1507.
