What was your turning point?
Everybody has an idea of what it is that they would like to become.
Everybody has an idea of what it is that they would like to become or what they would like to achieve in life.
However, not everyone will get there when they expect to, some might face unpredictable challenges in their lives that will hinder them from achieving their goals.
Fortunately, there are always turning points in life. This turning point can be referred to as the moment you realise that it is now or never.
On Saturday, February 3 at the Eldorado Park Senior Secondary School Hall, a motivational speaking session was held where three speakers explained their turning points and how they overcame their challenges.
The three speakers that spoke at the event were Tarryn Alberts, Hanif Kruger, and Fransina Morake. Alberts is a freelance dancer that has moved from being an Eldos dancer to an international dancer.
Kruger is someone who was born blind and became an entrepreneur, proving that he saw something no else saw in himself. Morake is a sales manager who started off as a domestic worker.
Each speaker spoke about how they reached their turning points in life and how it has motivated them to keep on keeping on.
Kruger spoke about how being blind hasn’t made him any different from anyone on this planet. He said that being blind doesn’t hinder from doing anything, he just happened to be blind.
Alberts spoke about how she was made to dance and that her background never stopped her from becoming a professional dancer. She faced many troubles along her path to success but at every turning point in her life, she became more intact with her vision.
Alberts moved from a local dancer to being internationally known for her unique style of dance. At the end of the event, she performed a dance for the crowd.
