#SundayRECAP: With Just Grade 10, you can go further

Companies will select the best from the ones who have graduated.

It is highly impossible to stay in Pimville and not have anything to do to better your future as it has a lot going on in terms of education and youth empowerment.

The community hall to be precise has a lot of activities and educational programmes running for youth development every year.

Institute for Sustainable Risk Management (ISRM) has been offering Project Management course to young people between the ages 18-25 years old for the past two years.

The Institute is doing a programme under Employee Tax Incentive (ETI) and is funded by the government.

The minimum required number of students is 300, however, along the way, there are those who choose to drop out and thus the number keeps on decreasing. Currently, there are 137 students left who are going to graduate.

Project management has been proven to be the most effective method of delivering products within cost, schedule, and resource constraints.

Students will gain a strong working knowledge of the basics of project management and be able to immediately use that knowledge to effectively manage work projects.

“The advantage of doing project management is that it fits in any industry, thus finding a job will be easy. However, we do have companies that we partnered with that will be helping the deserving candidates with placements after they have completed the course,” said Sinethemba Siqila, a facilitator for Project Management.

Companies will select the best from the ones who have graduated.

Applications for this year’s intake will be available and applicants are required to have at least completed Grade 10, must be South African Citizens and must be able to speak and write in English.
