Table tennis or ping pong? Many times people tend to get confused as to whether they’re the same thing or not.
Technically speaking the only difference is the number of times the ball is allowed to bounce on the table but in actual fact, it is the same thing.
Some say table tennis is a sport and others say that ping pong is a game. Either way, there is no correct answer. The history of the game goes all the way back to the late 1800s and has developed exceedingly as time went on.

Many people in the Eldorado Park community played this sport in school, some even went professional but for some reason, the sport has just died out.
Not many people still play it as a sport; they just do it for fun or in the comfort of their own homes. Johnny Edwards is of the very few people who would like to revive table tennis as a sport in the community.
Edwards once played for a table tennis club called the Arsenal Table Tennis Club that he was a part of for many years. He would like to revive table tennis as a sport in the community but he needs assistance.
Whether you want to learn how to play or coach someone, anything goes, just to get the ball rolling. His revival idea was sparked at a sports event that was hosted at the Don Mateman Civic Centre on December 16, 2017.
He saw that many youngsters were interested in table tennis amongst the other sporting codes that were played on the day.
He said that he would like to involve all the schools within the community to help him make this vision a reality.
Families with table tennis boards at home can receive free training from Edwards, free of charge.This will then hopefully inspire the players to form clubs and make table tennis a sport that can be enjoyed again.
Whether you’re young or old now is the time to bring back a sport that is not just entertaining but fun as well.
