Motivated by Canadian singer, songwriter, and record producer The Weekend, a local trap musician Thabo Terrance Shongwe known as G-nash from Orlando East is following his icon’s musical choice.
Growing up he and his friends used to play singing competition and act as singers they wish to be. That’s where he found the love for music.

Shongwe said music keeps him going and calm his nerves. He has never released an album but hopes to release one this year. He confidently said this is his year as he will be recording his first music video.
He started venturing into his musical journey in 2014 and last year joined the podium zone family. According to Shongwe, the group has helped him to gain knowledge about music and has helped him to grow.

Shongwe’s wish is to share the same stage with big artists. He said he believes that the only way a person can be successful is when they have faith in their work and to work hard because it’s not easy.
He urged young people to search for their capabilities in order to find where they’re capabilities lie. success is cannot be achieved overnight.
