How strong is your marriage?

We look at the fundamentals.

The Matters of the Heart Couple’s Seminar, hosted by the Mngoma Empowerment Group (MEG) touched on the most fundamental part of a marriage-sex and how both the partners can savour it to enjoy married life.

The guest speakers themselves are happily married and sought to share their marriage’s ingredients.

The seminar showed just how communication in a relationship can be very vital and could save many relationships while keeping the spark alive.

Tshepang Mngoma explained how the matters of the heart can be very complicated and not an easy terrain to tread on, she said, “It’s all about honesty and transparency, we try to never argue while emotions are still hot and we’re angry.”

Linda and Portia Zwane were the guest speakers for the day, and they took turns to dish out pieces of advice that could save marriages and how sex was created for married couples to enjoy.

Casual sex was not even on the lips of the attendees of the seminar, who were all married.

Portia Zwane explained how sex should be the bond between two lovers and how strong it can be, she said, “However, my sex pleasure as a woman depends on me as a woman and not how good my partner is.”

While Linda Zwane related his background and admitted to the fact that sex does keep the husband happy.

Many couples from various places attended the seminar and listened attentively on how to improve their love lives from the tips and stories of others.

One of the biggest stumbling blocks in relationships was forgetting and taking your partner for granted, it was advised for people to figure out why they stopped showing affection in their respective relationships.

Mngoma said, “There is no doctor of marriage because humans are always evolving.”

In the previous seminar, Mondli and Hloniphile Ndlovu shared how they respect their home and how they’ve learned to never discuss challenges in the bedroom and to never go to bed angry because the bedroom life is important in any marriage.
