#SundayRECAP: Help to grow small businesses

"We aim to give SMMEs information on how to make more business."

Knowledge is power, especially for entrepreneurs who want to grow their businesses from one level to another, hence Progressive Business Council of South Africa (PBCSA) aims to educate business people and help them grow.

The PBCSA is an organisation established after the deformation of the Chambers of Business Association, the Chief Executive Officer for PBCSA, Pat Mamabolo explained that the organisation was put in place to empower and develop both the youth and seniors.

Mamabolo said, “As PBCSA we noticed how there is so much red tape for most Small Micro Medium Enterprise (SMME) and this prevents economic growth, so we desire to teach people and show them all they need to know to build their SMMEs.”

PBCSA aims to create a visual system of spaza shops, liquor outlets, vendors, and wholesalers to empower consumers and SMMEs.

PBCSA has a fresh partnership with Cel Pal and this partnership is nothing less than innovation, according to Mamabolo, “The system we use is quite simple and not hard to learn.”

The CEO of PBCSA said, “We use visual platform which will provide gadgets to interact with suppliers and consumers for daily products purchased in their stores.

There’s value added to every product which gives consumers bonus points to use for further purchases.”

Mamabolo said, “We don’t want to marginalise the youth and categories them in a different category with the seniors, we want to educate and help everyone.”

Objectives of PBCSA are to give proper information to help small business owners get loans to grow their businesses because some bylaws are important and it is imperative that owners understand them.

The other stakeholders who made PBCSA a possibility are Prima Quality.

Mamabolo said, “We aim to give SMMEs information on how to make more business, creating solid business plans and aligning them in the industry because red tapes stop people from growing their businesses.”
