Faranani Women’s club turns 10 years

"It is by the grace of God that I asked for strength and conscious."

On November 12, Faranani Women’s Club celebrated 10 years in existence in Meadowlands Zone 10. The club started in 2008 with only six women.

Founder of the club Betty Ramadibane said this was an idea that she came with since she left the other club she was part of.

She saw the need to start up her club because it helps a lot of families with groceries at the end of the year.

Faranani doesn’t only consist of women there is also a male member.

“This shows that women are strong and they can stand together and help each other,” she said.

Ramadibane spoke about how she faced the hardships and critics from people who always accused her of using the club money for her own obligations.

“It’s hard working with people and has its own challenges I wouldn’t be this far if it wasn’t for you guys and the support you always show me.

“Faranani Women’s Club knows that we are a family and we don’t hold grudges against each other,” she said.

Precious Masindi started with this organisation and said that they have the spirit of leadership within them and God shall bless them abundantly.

“We have been doing so well even though some left the club and some passed away,” said Masindi.

Dimakatso Mahlangu said that everything that Betty does it is with love and conscious and she has helped most people in the community in times of need.

Mahlangu had tears of joy flowing down her face as she showed much happiness.

“It is by the grace of God that I asked for strength and conscious,” said Ramadibane.

There was a moment were they all sung remembering the women that passed away.

Ramadibane did a vote of thanks to the women and men that came and showed support in celebrating their 10 years anniversary.
