Caring for more young girls in our community

Not all girls can afford to purchase sanitary pads.

The Tshepo Makole Foundation visited R.W Fick Secondary School to donate sanitary products to the girls at the school.

“This project is very important to our society, to us; and South Africa, even to our continent.

Research conducted by us has indicated that in each province, one in three girls from communities is absent from school due to a lack of access to, and support of sanitary towels. It is sad and painful,” said founder Tshepo Makole.

The Tshepo Makole Youth Empowerment Foundation held a meaningful and memorable initiative which focused on the young girls.

According to the Makole, the foundation is a non-profit organisation which was established during in 2010.

Their mandate is to create, support and advocate for initiatives that are aiming to assist citizens to increase participation in the mainstream economy.

Their secondary objective is to collaborate with other stakeholders and partners who try to address the imbalances of the past.

The sanitary products were donated to R.W Fick, Sekano Ntoane High School in Soweto, and Matseripe High School in the Free State.

“Thanks to God for providing this opportunity, the stakeholders involved, everyone who supports the movement, and the planned action which is continuously unfolding, [NLC].

Gauteng and Johannesburg Chinese Business Association, (SANLAM), (LHI), (ILED), Internal Leaders at (The Foundation), your effort, support and contribution is making a huge contribution in our lives, and the lives of our people,” said Makole.
