Police did not miss one beat

A car chase ensued which resulted in the driver losing control and crashing.

For the past few weeks, a vehicle which was involved in several robberies was being driven around Eldorado Park with the occupants allegedly terrorising the community.

Reports of children walking home from school and people coming home from work being robbed flooded the area and a hunt was launched for the vehicle which was described as a silver Hyundai i20.

The police received information that the vehicle had been spotted and the Community Protection Forum and Eldorado Park police jumped on the case.

According to communications officer, captain Phillemon Khorombi, Eldorado Park station commander, brigadier Pieter van Dyk said, “A silver car was speeding along Boundary Road crashed after attempting to evade police.”

A weird twist to the story is that one of the alleged suspects involved in this was reported missing from Florida.

According to captain Khorombi, brigadier Pieter van Dyk said, “The white lady that was reported missing was present.

“A case of robbery has been opened and is still under investigation. The suspects are still at large and being looked for.

“We appeal to the community to assist us should they have any information regarding this case.”
