Diepkloof’s own local taxi

Good news for Diepkloof taxi users

The community of Diepkloof will have their own local taxis with their unique sticker which can be signalled with an open palm five sign, known as Diepkloof all zone square.

The local taxi rates at R5 a ride and the service started from October 9 for all the passengers travelling within Diepkloof which has far apart zones.

Residents can identify the blue sticker engraved with white bold fonts in the front on the taxi’s windscreen, the taxis are meant to take them to their local destination.

Also, the operation that began at Zone Five will also move to the Bareng Taxi Rank and Taxis travelling from Diepkloof to Randburg will cost the passenger R16, the inception of this route will be announced to the community as well.

Jabu Shabangu of the Disciplinary Committee for Diepmeadow explained that the Diepmeadow association has opened a new rank which is newly built to accommodate the community of Diepkloof, Shabangu said, “We are in an endeavour to open more taxi ranks for the people’s convenience and to offer them smooth, reliable and quality transport services.”

The Diepmeadow taxis can be identifiable by their unique blue sticker on the front with the open palm hand sign.

Xaba said, “People have suffered a long time without their own designated taxi rank, and we urge unity and pledge to help the community travel safely and conveniently.”

Residents are urged to visit the association’s offices at the Bareng Taxi Rank for any suggestions.

Xaba said, “The association sincerely apologises for any inconveniences.”
