Breaking News: A learner was allegedly raped over the weekend in Benoni

We have received information from the Gauteng Department of Education on WhatsApp that another learner was allegedly raped in Benoni over the weekend.

Department spokesperson, Steve Mabona, confirmed that MEC Panyaza Lesufi will be making his way to the school from Mamelodi.

“Breaking: Report received that another learner was raped over the weekend in Benoni, MEC is visiting the school, immediately from Mamelodi. More information to follow,” he said.

This announcement c0mes at a time when MEC Lesufi is trying to resolve yet another sexual assault issue at Mahube Valley Secondary School about another alleged rape incident by a patroller.

Allegedly, a 17-year-old girl from Mahube Valley Secondary was raped by a patroller.

The MEC will make his way there now.
