Not enough time for chores?

At the company, they do laundry, gardening, spring-cleaning and anything that has to do with cleanliness.

Dlamini-based entrepreneur, Gugulethu Kunene is one passionate woman who is looking forward to helping the unemployed people in her community.

Kunene has opened a cleaning company and has employed residents in her area to work together to earn a living. Her company is called Help Needed Services and has 10 members who are employed in the business.

The company was established in 2013 and, according to Kunene, helping friends and family have been one of her passions and she opened the business after realising that many people are unemployed and needed to earn a living.

“I had a discussion with my friend to start a rent-a-maid business and that is when I decided to open the company. “If someone needs cleaning at an event we help clean the place to be in its original state after the guests have left.

“We offer services that take a huge weight off the employer’s shoulders,” said Kunene. At the company, they do laundry, gardening, spring-cleaning and anything that has to do with cleanliness.

They do the laundry at her home and she said there was not enough space for them to work in. “If we can get a bigger place we can work well but with the lack of funding we are struggling,” she said.

She said they needed funding to buy more washing machines to advertise the business. “We have the vision to grow the business into a nationwide franchise that is accessible to everyone.

“We look forward to growing the business to reach all those who are struggling with their chores-whether industrial or at home and we also would like to help the environment by going green and teaching our clients how to recycle.

“Help Needed Services aims to give a professional service with integrity, honesty, and trustworthiness. “We make it our goal to keep clients happy while helping them live in a hygienic environment,” said Kunene. The company operates from 1911 Sycamora Street in Dlamini Extension Two.
