Sight unseen, his eyes must see.

He has to undergo a serious operation in order for him to save his sight.

Have you ever imagined going through life without the full use of your eyes? You have probably tried walking around with your eyes closed to see if you could handle it.

At least that’s a conscious decision that you are able to make. Unfortunately for Mustapha George, he doesn’t really have a choice.

George is blind in his left eye and a part of the back of his left eye is leaning to one side which is causing him to go blind in the other eye. He has to undergo a serious operation in order for him to save his sight.

On Saturday, September 16, at the Local Development and Economic Civil Association (LDECA), the George family saw an opportunity to engage with the community and attempt to raise funds for Mustapha’s eye operation.

The reason the family has taken it upon themselves to raise funds for him is that the medical aid cannot cover the costs of the operation that he needs to undergo.

Two of Mustapha’s nieces said, “We are raising funds for my uncle because he’s blind in his one eye and soon to be blind in his right eye, we are looking for any donations for an immediate operation, and any small donation will be appreciated.”

They will be having more fundraising events for Mustapha in aid of getting his eye problem to being something of the past.
If there’s anyone who would like to help the George family, kindly contact Fagmieda on 071 364 8958 or Mariam on 083 417 3396.

The George family have joined forces to help Mustapha.
