Banda B has an EP titled Dear Kutlwano

Neo Linala from Pimville Zone 3 well known by his stage name Banda B has been telling his story for 10 years through music, specifically rap. The 28-year-old released his first official track while doing grade 11.

He said he chose to do music because he wanted to tell a story through music for kasi people who can relate to his music and he has released more than 100 tracks.

He was also involved with Hauweng Entertainment group which had more than seven members and he was the only member signed by Africa which also worked with Soul Candy, but during that time things didn’t go well and he got his work knocked from him, from there, he didn’t stop, he met Roto’s Family which he is working under currently, owned by Mohau Khalie aka Lucifer Morningstar.

The music he released with his former employees is still selling in dollars he said. His storytelling track titled Khumule Khaya was inspired by the fact that he grew up without a father, so he had to dedicate a song to him as he only united with him at a later stage.
Banda started out as a good soccer player.

“I played for Orlando Pirates development, but because of my short height I had to play for U9 while I was 13,” said Banda.

He has been to One Mic airing on SABC 1, did a cover for Big Sean’s change the world and was the anti-drug campaign ambassador for the African National Congress (ANC).

Banda has performed at many places but the recent positive performances at schools such as Thaba Jabula Secondary School, Emshukantambo to name a few.

He is popular within his community. Most of his inspiration comes from American rapper Young Thug because he says that he can relate to his music and our local Kwesta was his inspiration but now he believes that he is now two times better than Kwesta and he doesn’t want to be compared to him.

Banda B has an EP titled Dear Kutlwano. The name is dedicated to his first born and he is currently working on a new album.

His words to the youth who wish to conquer in life are, “The key word is KISS, meaning Keep It Short and Simply”, he said.
