House Wives League assists Molemohi

To us, helping the community is our number one priority, hence the motto, 'We lift as we rise'

Mathato Molemohi, a bedridden woman from Pimville, has made a lot of appearances in the Pimville Urban Newspaper and some readers felt the need to respond and assist her where they could.

The House Wives League, Pimville branch blessed Molemohi not with just a visit but with gifts also on Friday, September 2.

The league has been running for over 40 years and has since been assisting the needy in their community. However, their main focus is on pensioners.

From them, Molemohi has received a gown, night dress toiletries and more.

“We read about her on Pimville Urban News, and then we thought how about we do something good for her? That is when we decided to visit her and give her these gifts.

“The organisation is not only in Pimville, we have more branches in Soweto and just like us, they assist the community,” said Gladys Dlamini a member of the organisation.

“We meet once a year, at a conference, to update each other on what each branch has been up to as well as to encourage and motivate each other to keep going,” Dlamini said.

“To us, helping the community is our number one priority, hence the motor, ‘We lift as we rise’,” said Dorothy Nkosi, another member of the organisation.

Molemohi expressed her deepest gratitude to the House Wives League.

“I am very happy and grateful that the housewives league decided to bless me with a visit and bring me such wonderful gifts. I wasn’t okay, health wise, but now I feel much better. I feel very relieved and so much better,” she said.

They would like to urge more young people to join as the organisation needs them.

Mathato Molemohi happy to receive gifts.
