Wise plan to benefit Orlando community

Concerned Citizens of Orlando East stand up for their community

Concerned Citizens of Orlando East have a plan on how to utilize the area in the plantation Bazabaza Streets.

According to Lawrance Mnyanda, the place has now turned into a home for thieves and a gambling zone.

“Children are fond of the place and they always come here every day after school.

“The park must be divided into two parts for adults and Children. Only the shops around here can adopt a group of boys and form a team of small boys,” said Mnyanda.

The group said they are willing to monitor the place and ensure that it is kept clean. The setting is now used as selling stalls.

Mnyanda said there are no parks in Orlando so this small place can be used as a park and then in the evening adults can use it for Jazz entertainment.

“We are still planning to send a proposal to City Parks and will try to convince local shop owners to sponsor the teams,” he said.

Timothy Mosebi said the area used to be a very beautiful place and residents would chill there during weekends.

“All of a sudden people used it for all the wrong reasons and it was no longer clean.

“Maintenance and building of the fence around the area will help create jobs,” said Mosebi.
