YOVA gives back to the needy in Dobsonville

“This initiative shows that YOVA is growing and there is a lot of good things to come"

In a bid to help fight poverty and bring hope to the needy, 20 families were handed grocery and blankets by the Dobsonville based Young Voice Academy (YOVA) last Saturday.

According to YOVA founder Rapelang Semente, the event was aimed at bringing smiles to the needy families.

“We have identified the plight of the beneficiaries through our home visit programmes we often conduct in the township.

“We are thankful to our sponsors for making the event a great success and we hope to continue hosting similar events in the township,” said Semente.

Zacharia Mosiane was excited to be amongst the beneficiaries.
“This initiative shows that YOVA is growing and there is a lot of good things to come.

“I’m not used to be given gifts but this blanket gift means a lot to me. I’m definitely going to wrap myself with it during cold winter days,” said Mosiane.

He is optimistic that YOVA is definitely going to impact lives in Dobsonville and surrounding areas positively for many years to come.

Thabisile Tshabalala applauded YOVA for doing an excellent job and their gesture means a lot to the beneficiaries.

“I’m asking YOVA to help me to relocate my family to a better place. Currently, I’m unemployed living with two children, one with disability and the other child still at school.

“YOVA’s involvement in the community brings hope,” concluded Tshabalala.
