Bishop Robert Madonsela (87) from Klipspruit Ext 2, had lost some of his essential belongings when his house burned down with the most affected and severely damaged parts being the roof, window frames, door frames as well as some of his households goods.
According to Madonsela, he has made countless attempts to receive help from the relevant people but it was all in vain.
That is when South African’s fastest growing political party Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) intervened and Madonsela finally got help.
The EFF showed solidarity when they joined hands in helping Madonsela get back on his feet after his house burned down.
The Ward 37 Thomas Kosovo Sankara Branch chairperson of the EFF, Romeo Ntamane wishes to reiterate that the EFF will always be at the forefront of those who are struggling.
He further went on to extend his gratitude to the members of the community who played an important role in assisting Madonsela with accommodation and food during the difficult time and to the selfless and committed EFF PR Councillor, Sipho Sithole for pulling all the stops, making sure that Madonsela’s case is dealt with urgently.
As a token of appreciation, Madonsela expressed his gratitude, he wishes to thank all branch members of the EFF who responded positively during his time of difficulty.
Sithole said that they were touched by Madonsela story and as EFF they aim to address and help the community where feasible.
“As the EFF, we reaffirm our commitment that we will continue addressing challenges that confront our communities, on a daily basis,” said Sithole.
