Makhubo steps up his praise game

Fans sang along when Makhubo unleashed hit after hit tracks taken from his album dubbed Ubuhlungu balomhlaba

The South African gospel music circle was recently hit by separate tragic death incidents of the talented Lundi Tamara and S’fiso Ncwane.

Their death left a huge vacuum in the music industry as artists tried to emulate them but failed.

Already there were critics who were whispering in corridors that the death of both artists means the beginning of the end of the era of once glittering African Gospel music in the country.

However, the new gospel sensation Thobani Makhubo’s unique talent is a right anecdote required to suit broken hearts of both fallen legends fans and fill the gap they left behind.

Makhubo’s presence in the gospel music circle would soon be felt by most gospel fans.

His musical acumen, immaculate command of language and confidence on stage are rightful elements which make him stand head and shoulder above his competitors.

Makhubo’s recent five-star performance at Thabang Primary School in Dobsonville left fans in disbelief and asking for more performance from this amazingly talented artist.

Fans sang along when Makhubo unleashed hit after hit tracks taken from his album dubbed Ubuhlungu balomhlaba.

Makhubo said his love for gospel music was ignited by life challenges he encountered but faith kept him going. “I once lived on the streets of Joburg without a shelter.

That is why my music touches various life subject and experience which makes it appealing to most people,” said Makhubo.

His album consists of 17 beautiful tracks and sings in both isiZulu and English languages. Some of the beautiful tracks found in Makhubo’s offering include Konke kuhlala enhlizweni.

The tracks urge people to strive for social righteousness in a bid to make the society a better place to live. In the same track, Makhubo warns parents to refrain from taking gifts from their children who are involved in criminal activities.

Another beautiful offering coming from this album include ‘Cover me my lord’ track. In this track, he calls for the Almighty to protect him from life brutalities.

Bazothini labantu track is a renowned gospel track but he revamped the song and made it appealing to most gospel music patrons.

With this great musical album, Makhubo will usher multitude of Christians and gospel music patrons to a wonderful festive season.
