Chiawelo: Parents embark on cleaning campaign

Chiawelo residents make it their responsibility to repair ASHA PreSchool

Chiawelo residents embarked on a cleaning campaign at the ASHA Pre School in Chiawelo Extension Three.

The campaign was aimed at celebrating Mandela Day and they painted walls, did gardening and cleaned the toilets.

It was all about helping with day care repairs, painting, cleaning and renovating the centre.

Parents brought garden tools, paint brushes and cleaning material.

One of the parents, Dimakatso Mangalani said her child attends at the centre and it is their responsibility to make sure that the centre up to standard.

“We are doing this for our children and we will continue to help wherever necessary,” she said.

The centre has purchased a new phone and has created an email address for effective communication and speedy response.

Parents are also reminded that there will be a meeting at the centre on August 19.
