Naledi Crime Report: Police Crime Successes

Naledi Crime Report

Naledi police have arrested about 24 suspects for crimes ranging from house breaking and theft, possession of stolen property, driving under the influence of alcohol, selling liquor without licenses, possession of dagga and also recovered three stolen motor vehicles.

Last week Tuesday

– The police recovered a stolen blue VW Polo TSI next to Thaba Tshehlo Primary School in Naledi

On Wednesday

– Police also recovered a hijacked silver-grey Hyundai in Mabele Street in Tladi after the vehicle was reported hijacked in Kliptown

On Thursday

– A 50-year-old Zola man was arrested for possession of stolen property after he was found in possession of a stolen burglar door

– Two male suspects from Tladi aged 27 and 31 were arrested for house breaking and theft after they stole two grinders, a window burglar and a burglar door valued at about R4 500

On Friday

– Naledi police recovered a stolen red Ford Laser in the Emndeni industrial area

– A male suspect from Snake Park in Dobsonville was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol

– In a separate arrest, five male suspects aged between 19 and 27 were arrested for being in the possession of dagga in the Naledi policing precinct. The men are from Zola, Tladi, Moletsane and Emndeni

On Saturday

– A 35-year-old woman from Roodepoort was also arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol after she did not stop at an intersection and collided with another vehicle behind Tladi Clinic

– Five male suspects from Naledi, Molapo and Phiri were also arrested for possession of dagga in the Naledi policing area in separate incidents

– Two (2) illegal shebeens operating without liquor licenses were shut down in Emndeni and Tladi, the owners, aged 35 and 60 were fined

And on Sunday

– Six male suspects aged between 20 and 27 from Phiri, Lufhereng, Emndeni, Naledi, Senaone and Tladi were arrested for possession of dagga

– A 40-year-old man from Naledi was fined for selling liquor without a license
