Breaking News: PRASA security guard fighting for his life following mob justice in Klipspruit
Two injured at Klipspruit housing protest.
A 17-year-old was killed and a 23-year-old pregnant woman rushed to hospital after they were both shot at allegedly by PRASA securities during a housing protest in Klipspruit (Holomisa Camp) this morning.
According to an audio recording sent to Soweto Urban by a source, apparently, three security guards fired shots at the crowd as they were attempting to close down the railway.
In retaliation, the community managed to catch one of the security officers as they tried to flee the scene moments after opening fire.
He was severely assaulted and was left fighting for his life. Kliptown Police spokesperson Captain Hitler Ngwenya said he is currently at the scene.
