12 people injured after 2 taxis and a light vehicle collided at Main Reef

Three vehicles collided leaving people injured.

12 people were injured on Tuesday after two taxis and a light motor vehicle collided at the Main Reef and Nadine Road intersection in Fleurhof, west of Johannesburg.

ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene at approximately 08h10, finding all three vehicles in the middle of the intersection.

Upon closer inspection, paramedics discovered several occupants from the three vehicles walking around on the scene. Several patients were found to be young children.

Paramedics assessed the patients and found that twelve had sustained injuries ranging from minor to moderate. Fortunately, no serious or fatal injuries were found.

The patients were treated for their injuries and were thereafter transported to various provincial hospitals for further care.

The cause of the collision is not yet known but local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
