#Educationjobs is trending today – here’s why

There are awesome opportunities in education.

What would the education system be without teachers? And where would today’s teachers be if it wasn’t for all the retired teachers and varsity lecturers from yesteryear?

Teaching is a calling like becoming a dancer, priest or nurse. Many enter the profession for the salary but working hard to educate and shape the minds of children requires more than the need for an income.  Teach.com describes teachers as trusted sources of advice for learners or students weighing crucial life decisions. They help learners achieve qualifications at a secondary level and drive them through the same route in varsity by advising on what career choices are suitable or best.

The National Department of Basic Education heads a programme called Accelerated Schools Infrastructure Delivery Initiative which basically propels the process of school infrastructure with the aim of eradicating backlogs.

Minister Angie Motshekga has commended the initiative stating that more than a 100 schools were built since its inception in 2011/12.

The construction of schools not only increases employment opportunities for teachers or graduates, but it also means that hundreds of children get to attend school at state-of-the-art infrastructures.
