1. Musa Moyeni Mpembe
Africa Month means a lot to me because I think it should much rather be Africa Month every month as opposed to it only being during May.
So if it’s according to me, we would have Africa Month from January to December.
Why do we have Africa month in Africa….? It doesn’t make sense. We should have Africa Month in Europe and Asian month in America, but Africa month must be every month.
I celebrate and embrace me being African by embracing my own culture on a daily basis, so I celebrate Africa month every day of my life.
2. Country Buthelezi
My Africa Month is every month and every day for me because I am an African and I am in Africa.
I celebrate being African by doing the best that I can do for myself and by being the best that I can be for myself and my family.
3. Phumzile Mabuza
For me, Africa Month is about reviving and remembering our history and our traditions and I it’s about us appreciating each other, where we come from and how we got here as an African people.
She says she will celebrate being African by speaking her African languages in a pure and proper way and avoid talking English.
4. Ayanda Simelane
Africa Month for me is about who we are, where we come from and how we keep our culture alive.
Our upbringing informs who we are right now and I feel Africa Month is that month when your embrace your upbringing and our history.
