Parents bond with their children in fun games at Jabulani

Parents spent time with their children to prove they care for them.

Nobantu Care Centre hosted their fun day with learners and parents at their centre in Jabulani, Soweto.

The fun day comprised of a braai for lunch, an educational programme facilitated by South African National Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence (SANCA) and gaming activities for parents and pupils.

The presence of SANCA enlightened the toddlers on drugs, giving an address that warns the toddlers against the use of drugs.

The proceeds made from the fun day will go towards upgrading the television system and to buy new educational programmes to teach with.

“We made it a point to include games for adults and toddlers because we noticed that children don’t play like they used to.

“So we wanted to remind them how much more fun physical and indigenous playing is, instead of letting them get consumed in electronics and toys,” Boniwe Mncadi Ndlovu.
