The Bosmont Masjid Islamic Centre will host their 19th annual Pre-Ramadan Fete from May 20 to May 21.
The two days will showcase a variety of products from over 80 to 90 food and clothing stalls.
BMIC food, condiment, refreshment, vegetable and spice stalls will be available, as well as a BMIC tea garden, for something sweet, alongside the food tent.
It’s a community affair, with everyone from Bosmont to Benoni to Pretoria and beyond looking forward to joining in on the community shopping and socialising experience.
The support of the community is vital to the success of the fundraising effort for both the institution and the loyal stall holders themselves.
The event provides the perfect platform to meet up with old friends and colleagues and reminisce on previous Fetes come and gone while creating new, fun memories.
From pancakes to samoosas, burgers and chicken tikka, curry and snacks and sweet and savoury desserts, everyone will be catered for.
On Saturday afternoon, the favourite ‘buy and braai’ will begin at 4 pm in the courtyard and continue until after night prayers.
On Sunday morning, a koeksister breakfast will be hosted and thereafter, a chicken and mutton Breyani offering at lunch.
The kiddies will be sorted with activities and entertainment throughout the day, while experiencing and learning the nature of community building.
The Islamic Medical Association (IMA) will host a tent with medical practitioners, in conjunction with AWQAF SA.
They will provide various services, including vision and blood pressure tests on Saturday only.
Traders will be able to make use of Covered Stalls.
