Chaf Pozi creates a stir with Nola Mayonnaise

"This is a big thing, people can now realize that this place is not only about beers and all that but can be a better place for family hang-out as well"

The famous two towers land-mark of Soweto known as Chaf- Pozi home restaurant played a host for the finalist of the Nola Mayonnaise cooking competition on April 5.

Towards end of January 2017, the mayonnaise brand started a cooking competition under the theme “hash-tag create a stir” which took place in different areas and the Chaf-Pozi was seen as befitting to host the finalists.

The competition saw different chefs stepping out of the competition as the competition was getting tougher along the way.

“The competition was a journey of about 300 different chefs and at the end we had to choose the best three who competed for the first place.

“We managed to select the best three to showcase their cooking skills for the last time,” Stated Nelia Nieuwoundt,  Nola Brand Manager.

“The competition links with the TV commercial “Nola create a stir”, only Nola is creamier and perfectly balanced mayonnaise which inspires new ways with food,” she continued.

Nelia continued to outline that, “the competition was to encourage our food tables at home to explore into new ideas of adding different taste in our food using Nola.

“The contest was added vivacity with the inclusion of an experienced famous chef Mokgadi Itsweng.” She concluded

Busisiwe Ndimande came out the best of them all.

Zama Zwane, the Chaf Pozi manager, was happy to have her place hosting the event as she believes the occasion will bring a new image to her restaurant.

“This is a big thing, people can now realize that this place is not only about beers and all that but can be a better place for family hang-out as well,” she said.
