Mapetla High bids farewell to its principal

Former Mapetla High principal is looking forward to continuing with teaching

Mapetla High School pupils and teachers bid farewell to their principal, Nelson Ramoshaba.

Ramoshaba has been with the school since 1987 and became a principal in 1996, a position he has held until he retired this year.

He said he will continue to instill education to young ones despite his retirement.

“Teaching has always been my passion and I will never rest due to my retirement but I am aiming to help and empower school governing bodies.

“I always want to see young ones having a good education and I’m going to help them to become leaders of the future,” said Ramoshaba.

His colleague, Roseline Maphanga, who will be taking over as principal said she will continue where he left off and work hard to support the pupils and maintain a good relationship with the staff.

“We worked well with Ramoshaba and he will be missed by all of us including the pupils as well.

“It was a great honour to have him as a leader and he will remain the best leader we ever had in the school,” said Maphanga.

One of the pupils, Kefilwe Modibedi said Ramoshaba was a great principal and she has learned a lot from him.

“He taught us that education is the key to success and respect is one of the key elements of life,” said Modibedi.

Ramoshaba wished the new principal good luck and encouraged the pupils and wished them well in their studies.
