No April Fool’s prank as Cedric Lennets takes delivery of new kitchen scheme

Read the fine print to prevent the same experience

Saturday morning started out on a light note for Cedric Lennets who had been embroiled in a battle with Lewis Furniture Stores about the replacement of a kitchen scheme purchased in October last year.

Following a news article in the Eldorado Urban News last week, Eldorado Park branch manager Kenneth Dani and his team delivered a new kitchen scheme to Lennets’ home in Extension Three.

Lennets and his wife were glad that the matter was resolved and were appreciative of Lewis Furniture Stores for resolving the matter.

Dani pointed out that, “We do have a seven day returns policy which customers should be aware of. This means that defective furniture should be returned within a seven-day period after defects have been noticed.”

Customers should be made aware from the onset that they are bound by clauses within the purchasing agreement and request that the fine print be explained in layman’s language when buying items.

This approach may help later if you find yourself going toe to toe with retailers and will ensure that you do not suffer the same experience Lennets did.
