A decomposed body of a woman found in Naledi – police confirm

Naledi Police are pleading with the community to come forward with information following the discovery of a decomposed body.

Naledi SAPS members were summoned to a crime scene yesterday at about 09:30 where a decomposed body of a woman was found next to Montshiwa Primary School in Naledi.

It is alleged by the complainant, a community member, that while she was walking with kids in an open veld, they stumbled upon a decomposed body of a woman and called the police.

Upon arrival, the police found the naked body of a woman who might be aged between 30 and 39 laying on the veld facing upwards.

Upon further investigation, it was found that there was a huge rock next to her head.

It is believed that the woman was killed elsewhere and her body was dumped next to the school at the veld.

The police are not ruling out the possibility that the woman might have been raped before she was killed. The body was taken to Diepkloof Mortuary.

Investigations are already underway and the police are appealing to anyone who might have information about the woman or the culprits to come forward.

Naledi SAPS management condemns the gruesome killing in our policing areas and hoping to make arrests soon.
