Lovers tiff turns fatal in Protea Glen
What seemed like a normal fight turned ugly in front of onlookers.
What seemed to be a normal Saturday morning in extension 11 Protea Glen, turned ugly when a woman allegedly stabbed her 28-year-old boyfriend in full view.
According to police reports, the couple was having an argument at their rented home when the man left the premises.
The 22-year-old woman followed him and a fight on the street broke out.
Communications officer of SAPS in Protea Glen, Sergeant Vincent Mashiteng said, “the woman allegedly stabbed him in the chest and he died on scene.”
The woman has since been arrested and appeared in the Protea Magistrates Court on a charge of murder.
Mashiteng said that the woman will remain in jail until there is a formal bail hearing set.
“Once the police docket returns from the court, an official date will be set because this is a serious charge,” said Mashiteng.
