Soweto Urban launches EYE CATCHING new look

We are happy to announce our new look

Soweto Urban Newspapers was launched in 2005  after a move from The Citizen Newspapers by former CEO Kevin Keogh and current branch manager, San Lourens.

Lourens had conducted extensive retail research into Soweto and approached Johannesburg Properties who owned vast tracts of land in the area.

A portion of this land was parceled out to developers interested in building the first shopping mall in Protea. The paper has grown in leaps and bounds since those heady days and now service 11 communities in Soweto.

Soweto Urban Newspapers are distributed at no charge to residents who receive hyper-local news content exclusive to specific areas on their doorstep.

We are also into the digital sphere with ‘up to the minute’ local news content available online at www.sowetourban.co.za and www.westside-eldos.co.za.

Soweto Urban Newspapers have undergone a dramatic facelift, becoming bolder and more visually appealing to our reader base.
